Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols to assist in accurate diagnosis. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice to prevent dental issues. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with privacy regulations. Provide post-treatment instructions and answer patient questions to promote ongoing oral health. Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical environment. Experience Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional regulations. Proven experience providing professional dental hygiene services in a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, radiography procedures, and infection control protocols. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate patients effectively. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Familiarity with dental software systems for record keeping is preferred but not required.
