Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting in various dental procedures, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health. Duties Perform dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health. Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health during visits. Assist the dentist during procedures, providing necessary support and instruments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when required. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry practices. Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with infection control standards and procedures in a dental setting.
