Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology. Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery. Utilize dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix to document medical records accurately and ensure HIPAA compliance. Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment and prevent cross-contamination. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions in a clear and compassionate manner. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide four-handed dentistry that enhances efficiency and patient comfort. Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education related to pediatric dentistry, dental implants, endodontics, and other specialties. Maintain detailed medical documentation for all procedures performed while adhering to state healthcare regulations. Experience Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic setting with a strong background in general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and healthcare diagnosis processes. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics (including crowns and bridges), orthodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Ability to assess patient needs accurately through clinical examination and diagnostic tools while providing exceptional patient care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical records management is essential. Prior experience working with pediatric patients or in pediatric dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory.
