Dental Hygienist - Advanced Family Dentistry - South Plainfield, NJ

Job Summary Family-friendly general dentist office in South Plainfield is seeking a friendly, energetic dental hygienist to join our growing office. Minimum 1 year experience recommended but not required. Hours/day(s) are flexible for the right candidate but preferred Mondays 8-3pm and Tuesdays 9-4pm. State of the art technology with digital x-rays, iTero scanner and intra-oral cameras. Dentrix knowledge preferred Must be motivated, outgoing and a team player Compensation based on experience and will be discussed during the interview Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients. Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture X-rays and assist in diagnosing dental issues. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring all medical terminology is correctly documented. Perform periodontal assessments and apply preventive treatments as needed. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Proficiency in Dentrix software is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, and general dentistry practices. Previous experience in dental assisting or a similar role is an advantage. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and education. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
