Our ideal candidate has 3 years of dental practice experience in an assisting role, has a current RDA license, and is excellent at customer service, organization, and communication skills. Compensation: $21 - $27 hourly depending on experience Responsibilities: Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team Equip and prepare treatment rooms for examination and procedures by laying out necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during the appointment Assure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use Evaluate and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed Screening procedures include assessment of oral health conditions, adult and child prophylaxis, periodontal charting, and periodontal therapy, including dispensing of subgingival medications Scanning with iTero Assisting the doctor with co-diagnosis of dental problems Applying preventive materials to the teeth, such as fluorides and sealants, nutritional counseling, and providing oral hygiene instructions Being familiar with Invisalign Qualifications: Computer skills and experience with dental software and updating patient histories is needed Superb interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are desired 3 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant Current BLS/CPR certification is required State licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) I'm looking for someone outgoing who can talk to different types of patients!
