Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech - Sterling Dental Group - Sterling, IL

Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation - Assist with dental lab work, including pouring and trimming models - Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow Skills: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Proficiency in using dental software systems, such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and Epic - Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing procedures Please note that experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
