Minneapolis Dental Company is hiring a reliable, experienced Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) to join our growing, patient-centered dental practice in Uptown Minneapolis. We provide a mix of general, restorative, cosmetic, implant, denture, and orthodontic care. We are looking for someone who can do more than simply assist chairside. The right person is organized, proactive, fast-moving, and able to help keep the doctor, patients, rooms, sterilization, and schedule running smoothly throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Assist the doctor chairside during general, restorative, cosmetic, implant, denture, and orthodontic procedures. Take digital X-rays, panoramic images, and CBCT/3D images as permitted by Minnesota licensure and training. Prepare operatories before patients arrive; maintain clean, fully stocked rooms throughout the day. Seat patients, review medical history, take necessary clinical information, and help move appointments efficiently. Assist with crown procedures, including temporary crowns, scanning final impressions, and preparing materials. Use intraoral scanners, DryShield/isolating systems, OptiGate, photography equipment, and other clinical technology. Take impressions or scans for aligners, make trays, and support Invisalign/clear-aligner workflows when trained. Perform permitted preventive/support duties such as polishing, flossing, fluoride, sealants, and child prophys, based on licensure and delegated duties. Support denture procedures, including trimming and finishing soft relines when trained. Handle basic clinical emergencies within scope, such as a loose or missing temporary crown, and know when to involve the doctor. Maintain sterilization flow, instrument processing, spore testing, waterline/operatory maintenance, and infection-control standards. Help open and close the clinical area, including filling water bottles, maintaining suction lines, checking equipment, and keeping supplies organized. Anticipate the doctor’s needs, communicate with the front office and clinical team, and help prevent schedule delays. Help ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit. Required Qualifications Current Minnesota Licensed Dental Assistant credential. Current CPR/BLS certification. At least 1–2 years of chairside dental assisting experience preferred. Comfortable taking digital X-rays; experience with panoramic and CBCT/3D imaging is strongly preferred. Experience with restorative procedures, crowns, temporary crowns, impressions/scanning, sterilization, and clinical setup. Comfortable working in a fast-paced practice and helping keep the schedule moving. Strong communication skills with patients, doctors, hygienists, and front-office teammates. Reliable attendance, professional appearance, attention to detail, and a positive team attitude. Willingness to learn new technology and support different procedures as the practice grows. Preferred Qualifications Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification. Experience with placing or packing restorative materials within permitted scope. Experience with intraoral scanning, Invisalign/clear aligners, dental photography, implants, dentures, and cosmetic dentistry. Familiarity with Open Dental. Experience with DryShield, OptiGate, soft relines, temporary crown management, and CBCT imaging. Ability to assist across different areas of the clinic when needed. Compensation and Growth Pay range: $26–$34 per hour , depending on licensure, relevant experience, expanded-function credentials, and ability to work independently. We are a small but growing practice, so this is a strong opportunity for an LDA who wants to take ownership, expand clinical skills, and grow with the team. Experienced assistants who can step in with minimal hand-holding and help the entire clinic run efficiently will be compensated accordingly. Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour Work Location: In person
