Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety, as well as proficiency in various dental procedures and technologies. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for various dental procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record patient medical histories and vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in the patient management systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain sterilization of instruments and adhere to infection control protocols. Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and perform administrative tasks as needed, including familiarity with Dentrix or Eaglesoft software. Support specialized areas such as prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, or other dental specialties as required. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental is a bonus. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable. Experience in specialized fields such as prosthodontic will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.
