Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Orem, UT
Job Description: Our fast-paced Dental office is looking for a professional, patient friendly, outgoing, mature, organized individual to join our office and be a part of our amazing team! Possibility of employment for both Part Time or Full Time employees. This listing is for both a part-time or a full time dental assistant. Patient care hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays 8-5 (With a 1 hour lunch break) & Fridays 8-2. (30+ hours/week). We also work 1 -3 Wednesdays per calendar year. Responsibilities: We would like someone who knows the basic responsibilities of Dental Assisting duties which include the following: Working well with other team members,Greeting patients with a smile and taking them to their seat on time, Making sure patients are aware of their treatment plan,Having patients sign consent forms, Taking any and all radiographs and intra-oral camera photos with proficiency, (must have certification and experience)Having room set up for each procedure correctly, Assisting the Dentist during all types of treatment and learning his preferred methods for each procedure,Providing information to patients regarding Dental Procedures, Help handle dental emergencies, Document Procedures in Patient Charts, Proper Sterilization technique & Treatment Planning. Taking dental impressions and making temporary crowns w/proficiency(must have experience and be proficient with this) Assistant must have current CPR Certification, Radiograph Certification, and 1-2 years proficient assisting experience. Candidate must be extremely detail oriented.Eaglesoft experience preferred. Qualifications: Applicants must carry a positive, self-starting attitude and be welcoming and friendly as they will be the first to greet our patients. Excellent communication skills are a must! Outgoing and comforting personality is extremely important. Must be a creative problem solver & a team player. At least 1-2 years of Dental Assistant experience required. Radiology certification required. Job Type: Part-time (15 to 30 hours per week).
