TEMPORARY POSITION- Registered Dental Hygienist in Morgan Hill, CA

Position: Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Employment Type: Temporary ( May turn into long term)
Expected Duration: Through December 2026, with flexibility to negotiate/extend
Schedule: May vary based on your availability but at minimum 4 days or less
Pay: 54.00- 64.00 (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our general dental practice on a temporary basis through December 2026. The end date may be negotiated based on the needs of the practice and the hygienist’s availability.

This is a great opportunity for an RDH looking for a temporary position in a supportive, team-oriented office while still having some flexibility regarding the length of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care within California RDH scope of practice
• Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing as appropriate
• Obtain necessary radiographs and periodontal charting
• Review and update patient medical and dental histories
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal health
• Identify areas of concern and communicate findings to the dentist
• Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation
• Follow infection-control, OSHA, and office safety protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment room
• Work collaboratively with the dentist, assistants, and administrative team
• Provide patients with a professional, compassionate, and comfortable experience

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Required California permits/certifications applicable to assigned duties
• Strong communication and patient-education skills
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable working independently while remaining a team player
• Experience with Open Dental and Dexis is a plus, but training can be provided

Temporary Position Terms

This position is being offered as a temporary RDH position with an anticipated assignment through December 2026. The exact end date may be negotiated and could be adjusted or extended by mutual agreement based on scheduling, practice needs, and availability.
