Experienced EFDA â Part-Time | $30â$35/hr Maple Glen Modern Dentistry | Maple Glen / Ambler, PA Pay: $30â$35 per hour, based on experience and clinical ability We're willing to pay toward the top of the range for an EFDA who can work confidently and independently and is an exceptional fit for our team. Schedule: Monday: 7:30 AM â 3:30 PM (patient care 8AM - 3PM) Wednesday: 9:30 AM â 7:30 PM (patient care 10AM - 7PM) Friday: 8:30 AM â 2:30 PM (patient care 9AM - 2PM) Approximately 23 hours per week. As the practice continues to grow, there may be opportunities for additional hours in the future We're Looking for More Than Just an EFDA Maple Glen Modern Dentistry is a growing, privately owned dental practice looking for an experienced Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team three days per week. What You'll Be Doing We're looking for an EFDA who is comfortable working independently within their permitted scope of practice. You should be comfortable with: Independently placing, contouring, finishing, and polishing direct restorations Packing gingival retraction cord Fabricating and adjusting high-quality temporary crowns and bridges Using an intraoral scanner Taking digital radiographs and intraoral photographs Assisting with restorative and cosmetic dentistry Assisting with root canals, extractions, implants, and other procedures Maintaining excellent isolation and moisture control Communicating clearly with patients about procedures and post-operative instructions Keeping operatories organized, stocked, and running efficiently Our office utilizes modern technology and digital workflows, so being comfortable with technology is important. The Person We're Looking For Technical skills can be taught and improved. Attitude, work ethic, and how you treat people are harder to teach. Qualifications Required: Current Pennsylvania EFDA credentials Current Pennsylvania radiology certification as applicable Current CPR/BLS certification Dental assisting experience Confidence performing expanded functions independently within Pennsylvania EFDA scope Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Preferred: Strong restorative experience Intraoral scanning experience Experience with digital dental workflows, including 3D printing Experience in a comprehensive general dentistry practice Don't check every preferred box?
