Overview: Pay: Starting at $18/hour Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 5:00pm and Friday 7:45am - 1:00pm Location: Cookeville, TN Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, an affiliate of CHORD Specialty Dental Partners, has an immediate opportunity available for a Orthodontic Dental Assistant! We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities: Must be able to work in a pediatric, child-friendly environment Review all hygiene patient charts including; reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirement Verify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standards Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardian Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns Charting all existing/missing teeth, existing restorations, and/or dental procedures Obtaining all x-rays necessary in the best quality possible Maintaining accurate clinical notes of each visit Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards. This includes; scrubbing instruments, packing the instruments and processing them through the statim or autoclave sterilizer Must maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent At least one year of RDA experience Current State of TN RDA License Radiology Certification Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification Bi-Lingual is a plus Ortho assisting experience a plus
