Dental Assistant – 6+ Months Experience Required | No Dental Assisting School Required Bright Smiles Dental Care is looking for a dependable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Norton Shores, MI. Dental assisting school or a formal dental assisting certificate is not required. However, applicants must have at least 6 months of hands-on, on-the-job dental assisting experience and already be comfortable with the basics of working in a dental office. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping patients, works well with a team, and is interested in a long-term position with opportunities to continue learning and growing. Responsibilities Chairside assisting during general dental procedures Setting up and breaking down treatment rooms Sterilizing instruments and following infection-control protocols Preparing materials and instruments for procedures Assisting with fillings, crowns, extractions, and other general dentistry procedures Taking dental X-rays, if properly qualified Helping patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment Maintaining clean, organized treatment areas Supporting the dentist and other team members throughout the day Qualifications Minimum 6 months of hands-on dental assisting experience required On-the-job dental assisting training is acceptable Dental assisting school is not required Basic understanding of dental terminology and procedures Familiarity with sterilization and infection control Comfortable assisting with both children and adults Able to stay organized and work efficiently in a busy dental office Reliable, punctual, and ready to work Friendly and professional with patients and coworkers Willing to learn, accept feedback, and continue improving Experience with dental X-rays, fillings, crowns, extractions, and other general dentistry procedures is preferred.
