We are a boutique dental practice focused on exceptional clinical care, patient experience, and a positive team culture. We are especially interested in experienced dental assistants who are confident in their clinical skills and are seeking the higher end of the posted pay range . However, we are also open to newer assistants who are eager to learn and grow within our practice. What We’re Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who: Has strong clinical dental assisting experience , preferably with EFDA experience. Is confident assisting with restorative, crowns, bridges, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and general dentistry. Is comfortable taking dental X-rays and 3D scans. Understands sterilization, infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements. Is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work. Understands the importance of four-handed dentistry and maintaining an efficient clinical flow. Has excellent communication skills and genuinely enjoys taking care of patients. Can work independently while also being a supportive team player. Is looking for a long-term position and wants to become an important part of our practice. Experienced Assistants Experienced candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. If you have extensive dental assisting experience, EFDA training, and can confidently step into the clinical flow with minimal training, we want to hear from you. Candidates with the experience and skill level to command the higher end of our pay range are particularly encouraged to apply. Newer Dental Assistants Welcome We understand that not every great assistant has years of experience. New assistants and those early in their dental assisting careers are welcome to apply if they have the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn. For newer assistants, we will have a structured 30-, 60-, and 90-day training and performance plan designed to provide clear expectations, hands-on training, feedback, and opportunities for growth. We are looking for someone who wants to build a career in dentistry, not simply fill a temporary position. We are specifically seeking candidates who: Are looking for full-time, consistent employment . Are not currently planning to enter hygiene school within the next year. Are not seeking a part-time position. Can commit to the established schedule. Are dependable and understand the importance of being present for their scheduled shifts. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, oral surgery, pediatric, and general dentistry procedures. Perform advanced chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry. Take dental radiographs and 3D scans as permitted by training and applicable regulations. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials. Maintain strict sterilization and infection-control protocols. Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software. Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and office safety protocols. Monitor and document patient information when appropriate. Educate and reassure patients throughout their appointments. Maintain dental equipment and clinical areas. Assist with laboratory cases and treatment preparation. Keep the clinical schedule moving efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care. Communicate effectively with the dentist and entire dental team. Skills & Qualifications Dental assisting experience preferred. EFDA certification/training strongly preferred for experienced candidates. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures. Experience with digital X-rays and dental technology, Itero scanner and Sprint Ray equipment. Strong infection-control and sterilization knowledge. Experience with Dentrix Ascend, or similar software is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Professional appearance and demeanor.
