Rooted Dentistry | Black Diamond, WA Full-Time | $27â$30/hour, based on experience Weâre looking for more than a great dental assistant. Rooted Dentistry is looking for an experienced Lead Dental Assistant who loves dentistry, takes ownership, and naturally brings out the best in the people around them. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to remain highly involved clinically while also stepping into a meaningful leadership role. Approximately 75% of this position is clinical and 25% is leadership/administrative , with dedicated responsibilities for training, team development, audits, accountability, and improving systems within the assisting department. Who Weâre Looking For Our ideal Lead Dental Assistant is: Highly experienced in all facets of general dentistry Confident assisting with restorative, crown and bridge, endodontic, surgical, implant, and cosmetic procedures A strong communicator who is approachable and respected by their teammates Positive, professional, dependable, and solutions-oriented Comfortable giving feedback and holding others accountable in a constructive way Someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative without waiting to be asked Organized and capable of balancing patient care with leadership responsibilities Open-minded and excited to learn new technology, systems, and workflows Passionate about developing newer assistants and helping experienced team members continue to grow Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performing practice Interested in being part of a team that values growth, communication, ownership, and FUN Invisalign experience is a major plus , but we are happy to train the right person in our specific systems and protocols. Your RoleClinical â Approximately 75% You will work chairside as an experienced dental assistant and help provide an exceptional patient experience while supporting efficient, high-quality dentistry. Our practice utilizes modern technology and advanced procedures, so you should be comfortable learning and adapting as dentistry continues to evolve. Leadership â Approximately 25% As Lead Dental Assistant, you will also help oversee and develop the assisting department. Responsibilities will include: Training and onboarding dental assistants Coaching and developing team members Performing clinical and systems audits Maintaining consistency with office protocols and workflows Helping identify opportunities for greater efficiency Supporting accountability within the department Leading by example in attitude, communication, organization, and patient care Collaborating with doctors and office leadership Helping create solutions when challenges arise rather than simply identifying problems This position requires someone who can be both a teammate and a leader . Qualifications Dental assisting experience required Strong general dentistry experience required Previous leadership, training, or mentorship experience strongly preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Comfortable with technology and learning new systems Invisalign experience preferred but not required Ability to give and receive constructive feedback Reliable, professional, and team-oriented Compensation $27â$30/hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
