Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention protocols.
- Assist dentist during various procedures ensuring all tools and materials are ready for use.
- Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate medical imaging equipment while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Maintain dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards to uphold a safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting, with familiarity in dental instrument processing and chairside assisting.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures related to general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics.
- Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, aseptic technique, and dental sterilization procedures.
- Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while maintaining patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
