Smile Arizona Dentistry, a quality first, caring general dentistry dental practice is seeking an exceptional chairside Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team.

Who We Are

We are in need of an up-beat, on-time, detail-oriented, willing to learn, dynamic and energetic assistant! We are digital for films and impressions (including cone beam and pano), do clear aligner orthodontic treatment, place/ restore implants, and treat most all procedures in-house. We have contracted providers who travel to our practice for endodontic and oral surgery procedures if sedation is required.

Try us On

Three-day consecutive working interview requirement for on boarding. After this time, we assess your skill level and fit with the team, and if appropriate, a compensation package will be presented. Our typical patient treatment schedule is Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday with typically 1 Friday and 1-Monday per month.

Dental assistants should be well-organized with exceptional attention to detail, outstanding and compassionate patient care skills are a must. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office protocols. We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care and make office procedures as smooth as possible.

Responsibilities

Seat patients timely and keep to the schedule for a well running office.

Select and set up procedure instruments, equipment, and materials.
Sterilize and maintain instruments according to regulations and schedules.
Assist dentist chairside with all procedures.
Take scanned and traditional impressions as well as accurate, diagnostic-quality films.
Pack cord and make temporary crowns/bridges.
Track lab cases and schedule delivery appointments.
Provide oral hygiene and pre and post-operative care instructions.
Maintain inventory and keep operatories organized and well-stocked.
Schedule appointments for patients and contribute to schedule maintenance as needed.
Facilitate online reviews and patient referrals.
Keeping your work environments exceptionally clean and clutter free.
Be knowledgeable about the dental procedures we perform as well as the beauty procedures we offer and recommend each when appropriate.

Compensation

The average dental assistant compensation in Phoenix, AZ is approximately $48,230 per year, which translates to an hourly rate of about $23.19.

Salary Ranges (per proven skill achieved)

Entry-Level : $35,000 to $40,260 per year

Mid-Career : $41,200 to $48,680 per year

Experienced / Top Earners (90th Percentile): $58,000 to $66,000+ per year

Benefits and Perks

Healthcare: Paid dental coverage, free for all in house work. The staff members pay for any outside lab fees generated for their care and also pay for any (specialist) care that is outside the scope of this practice. Medical Insurance is available after three month of consecutive employment and starts at 50% free and 50% is the shared staff member's responsibility.

Time Off: Paid time off (PTO) is accumulated per hours worked, paid federal holidays paid are the "big six": New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. One week paid vacation time after each 12 consecutive months employment.

Retirement: We match contributions up to 2K/year.
