Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator — Optima Dentistry at Garland Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $23 + Bonus Per Start The new patient exam is where an ortho practice is won or lost. We are hiring the person who owns that moment. Fusion Orthodontics at Garland runs orthodontics alongside general and specialty care, which means a steady flow of internal referrals on top of our outside ones. Parents and adults walk in already interested — they booked the consult. Your job is to turn that interest into a start, today, before they leave to "check with three other offices." Phones, check-in, scheduling, insurance verification — that is part of your day, every day. What we will tell you is what you are actually graded on: consult-to-start conversion. When a parent sits down for a new patient exam, everything else waits. That conversation is the job. If asking a parent for a down payment makes you uncomfortable, this is the wrong role. If you have been the person who closes and you are tired of not being paid for it, this is the right one. WHAT YOU WILL OWN New patient consults (this is the job): Run the new patient consultation from greeting to signed contract Present braces and clear aligner treatment with confidence and clarity — comprehensive, Phase I, adult, retreatment Convert same-day starts. Every consult that leaves undecided is a start a competitor gets Build the financial picture: down payments, monthly contracts, ortho insurance benefits, FSA/HSA, CareCredit and third-party financing Work the pending list. Consults from 30, 60, 90 days ago are money sitting on the table Convert our internal referrals — the general side sends you warm patients every week. Nothing should slip Track and report your conversion rate weekly Front office (this is the seat): Greet and check in patients, answer phones, manage the ortho schedule Verify ortho benefits and lifetime maximums, post contract payments, follow up on delinquent accounts Keep observation and pending-start lists worked Support the team however the day requires WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 3–5 years minimum in a dental or orthodontic practice with hands-on treatment presentation. Orthodontic experience strongly preferred Proven consult-to-start conversion. Bring your number Genuinely comfortable with sales.
