Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare patients for treatment by taking vital signs and reviewing medical history. Manage dental records and documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Operate and maintain dental equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners. Perform basic laboratory tasks such as preparing materials for prosthodontics and endodontics. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure infection control protocols are followed, maintaining a clean and safe environment. Support front office operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft. Familiarity with dentistry practices and terminology. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and equipment. Understanding of general dentistry principles, including anatomy knowledge and aseptic techniques. Experience with medical documentation, coding, and records management. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
