Part-Time Dental Hygienist — Private Practice Looking to Add Additional Hours to Your Schedule? Our completely private dental practice is looking for a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are a practice focused on providing optimum, honest care and taking the time to do what is truly best for each patient. The days and hours are flexible , making this an excellent opportunity for a hygienist looking to add hours to their existing schedule. We are seeking a hygienist who is passionate about the profession, clinically thorough, and committed to providing compassionate, personalized patient care. Our Approach to Hygiene We believe quality dentistry starts with taking the time to properly assess, educate, and care for our patients. Our recall hygiene visits are one hour , while new-patient and SRP appointments are typically scheduled for additional time to allow for comprehensive care. Responsibilities Include Review and document medical and dental histories, blood pressure, current dental conditions, and chief complaints Identify clinical signs of potential oral cancer and TMD Perform comprehensive periodontal evaluations, including full-mouth probing Accurately identify, co-diagnose, and document periodontal conditions Take and evaluate diagnostic-quality digital radiographs and intraoral photographs Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleanings, SRP, and polishing teeth Provide individualized instruction for at-home oral hygiene and preventive care Educate patients about their oral health and recommended preventive measures Advocate for appropriate periodontal therapy based on clinical findings Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within our dental practice management software Build trusting relationships with patients through compassionate communication and quality care The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has a genuine passion for dental hygiene Takes pride in providing comprehensive, high-quality clinical care Is compassionate, personable, and an excellent communicator Is comfortable educating patients and discussing clinical findings Values honesty, integrity, and doing what is best for the patient Is thorough and detail-oriented with clinical documentation Enjoys working in a private-practice environment where quality is prioritized over production If you are a hygienist who believes patients deserve time, attention, honesty, and exceptional care , we'd love to hear from you.
