Job Summary Aten Orthodontics- Oregon and Janesville Location. Available to see patients Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm with some availability on Fridays. We are looking for the right person that understands the importance of a positive culture and work environment. Dental or orthodontic assisting experience will be required in order to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality treatment. This position requires a strong understanding of orthodontic procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist orthodontists during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimal patient comfort. Prepare and maintain the treatment area by sterilizing instruments and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other necessary patient information. Manage patient records, including updating medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties and other administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones and coordinating patient flow. Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and addressing their concerns with empathy. Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control practices within a dental clinic setting. Previous experience as an orthodontic or dental assistant is required. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is an advantage, as well as experience working with children in a clinical environment.
