Overview Jackson Heights, Queens, NY | Full-Time | Monday–Saturday Compensation: $25–$30/hour, Based on Experience We’re opening a brand-new dental office in Jackson Heights , and we’re looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join us from the beginning. This isn’t an opportunity to simply step into an established routine. You’ll be one of the first members of our clinical team , working closely with our Dentist to help build an organized, efficient, and welcoming practice. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, cares about patients, and wants to be part of building something that can grow. You’ll play an important role in establishing the clinical workflow of the office and creating the kind of environment where the dentist can focus on dentistry and patients feel genuinely taken care of. What You'll Do Provide excellent chairside assistance to the Lead General Dentist Prepare and turn over treatment rooms efficiently Take dental X-rays as permitted by New York State requirements Assist with general, restorative, and surgical procedures Prepare instruments, materials, and lab cases Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control procedures Keep treatment rooms and clinical areas clean, organized, and fully prepared Help keep the clinical schedule running smoothly Communicate professionally and warmly with patients Help create a comfortable and positive patient experience Work closely with the dentist and clinical team to continuously improve office workflow Who We're Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: Experienced in dental assisting Confident with chairside assisting Reliable and dependable Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Professional, friendly, and patient-focused A strong communicator and team player Someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done Interested in growing with a practice rather than simply working a shift Spanish/English bilingual is strongly preferred given the Jackson Heights community. Requirements Dental assisting experience preferred X-ray certification/authorization as required by New York State Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control standards Ability to work Monday–Saturday Strong work ethic and professional attitude This role will continue to expand with more opportunities to grow beyond this practice.
