Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygiene Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting clinical operations and enhancing patient care. Responsibilities Assist dental professionals with chairside procedures, including preparing instruments and materials for treatments such as cleanings, restorations, and oral surgeries. Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems Open Dental, ensuring accurate documentation of treatment plans, vital signs, and medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform dental instrument processing, sterilization, and infection control procedures following strict aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and providing pre- and post-treatment instructions with professionalism and empathy. Monitor vital signs and assist in pediatric dentistry or other specialized areas such as prosthodontics or oral surgery as needed. Maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools to ensure optimal functionality. Requirements Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred; familiarity with dental assisting tasks is highly valued. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures such as endodontics, implant assistance, or general dentistry practices. Proficiency with patient management software; experience with medical imaging systems is a plus. Ability to accurately perform dental x-ray procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards.
