Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, with experience in assisting during various dental treatments. This role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care in a comfortable environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms, including sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating dental impressions. Provide support to the dental receptionist as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to ensure compliance with health regulations. Requirements Proficiency in dental terminology is essential for effective communication within the team. Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus, contributing to smoother operations within the clinic. Familiarity with pediatrics or prosthodontics is desirable for those working with diverse patient demographics. Knowledge of Epic software or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous. Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently. Strong assisting skills, particularly in four-handed dentistry techniques, are required.
