Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Odenton, MD
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate provides chairside assistance during restorative, endodontic, and preventative procedures while ensuring exceptional patient comfort and efficient practice workflow. Key Responsibilities Chairside Support: Assist the dentist across operative, crown and bridge, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Patient Care: Prepare treatment rooms, seat and prep patients, review medical histories, and explain post-operative care instructions. Sterilization & Operatory Prep: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize clinical instruments and treatment areas in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines. Radiography & Imaging: Take high-quality digital dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral impressions/scans.Indeed Clinical Records: Document clinical procedures, diagnosis notes, and restorative treatment plans in practice management software (Open Dental) Inventory & Lab: Track clinical inventory, restock operatories, and coordinate lab cases. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Active Dental Radiation (X-ray) certification required. Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 1+ years of chairside experience preferred (willing to train candidates with strong clinical potential) Monday-Friday, Saturday.
