Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Chino Hills, CA

About the Position: We are looking for a reliable, caring, and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to become part of our team on a full-time basis. Candidates with experience working in a pediatric dental setting are highly encouraged to apply. What You Will Do In this role, you will help support the dentist and clinical team while ensuring each patient receives attentive and compassionate care. Responsibilities include: Assist the dentist during pediatric and general dental procedures. Welcome and help patients feel comfortable throughout their appointments. Prepare operatories before and between patients and make sure necessary supplies and instruments are available. Assist with dental radiographs, including taking and properly uploading digital and intraoral images. Maintain accurate and timely patient charts and clinical documentation. Perform preventive services within the scope of your training, certification, and applicable regulations, including dental cleanings and fluoride applications. Educate children and parents about maintaining good oral health at home. Demonstrate effective brushing and flossing techniques and encourage healthy dental habits. Review post-treatment and home-care instructions with patients and parents. Properly clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments and maintain a sanitary clinical environment. Follow all required OSHA, HIPAA, infection prevention, and office safety procedures. Help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming treatment environment. Work closely with the dentist and other team members to provide a smooth patient experience. What We're Looking For: The successful candidate will have: Dental assisting certification An active RDA credential is preferred, where applicable. Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable . Working knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, procedures, and preventive oral care. Experience assisting chairside and taking dental radiographs. Knowledge of proper sterilization and infection prevention procedures. Comfort using dental practice management and digital imaging systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A friendly and professional communication style. The ability to connect comfortably with children and communicate effectively with parents. Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to remain composed in a busy clinical environment.
