Responsibilities

• Teeth Cleaning: Remove plaque, hard tartar (calculus), and stains from all tooth surfaces and below the gum line.
• Patient Assessments: Review medical histories, check gum pocket depth, and screen for oral cancer or gum disease.
• Preventive treatment: apply protective flouride treatment. 
• Advance care: Perform root planning and scaling procedures. Recommend laser therapy
• Hygiene Instruction: Teach proper daily brushing  and flossing techniques.
• Documentation: Record patient care, review medical history, treatment plan, and screening finding for dentist. Discuss the impact  of nutrition and tobacco.
