Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Los Angeles, CA

Dental Office Manager - $25 to $32/hr + Bonuses, Medical Insurance, 401k & More!
Full Time position, five days a week including Saturdays (days off are on Sundays and Tuesdays).
Established dental practice is seeking an experienced Dental Office Manager / Practice Manager to join our team.
We are looking for a confident, experienced dental professional who understands that a successful dental practice requires excellent patient care, strong team leadership, efficient systems, and sound business management.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands dental office operations and can take ownership of the day-to-day management of a practice.
This is not an entry-level front-office position. Previous dental management experience is strongly preferred.
What You'll Do
Practice Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the dental office
- Keep the practice organized, efficient, and running smoothly
- Manage schedules, patient flow, and daily priorities
- Work closely with the doctors and clinical team
- Identify operational issues and take initiative to solve them
- Establish and maintain effective office systems and procedures
- Oversee office supplies, vendors, equipment, and general operational needs
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support the front-office and clinical team
- Help create a positive, professional, and accountable office culture
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Hold team members accountable while maintaining a respectful and supportive environment
- Help resolve employee and patient concerns professionally
- Lead by example and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Patient Experience & Scheduling
- Ensure patients receive exceptional customer service throughout their experience
- Oversee scheduling and maximize productive use of doctor and hygiene schedules
- Monitor cancellations, no-shows, unscheduled treatment, and overdue patients
- Help improve patient retention and reactivation
- Handle escalated patient concerns with professionalism and empathy
Insurance, Billing & Financial Management
- Oversee insurance verification and benefits coordination
- Monitor insurance claims and outstanding accounts
- Understand EOBs, PPO plans, HMO/DHMO plans, and patient financial responsibilities
- Monitor accounts receivable and outstanding balances
- Help ensure accurate and timely patient collections
- Assist patients in understanding treatment costs and financial options
- Monitor production, collections, and other key office performance indicators
Treatment Coordination & Practice Growth
- Support doctors and the team in presenting treatment clearly and confidently
- Help improve treatment acceptance and follow-through
- Identify opportunities to improve patient retention and practice growth
- Monitor practice goals and help develop strategies to achieve them
- Contribute ideas for improving the overall patient experience and efficiency of the practice

Required Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental office
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and office workflows
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Strongly Preferred
- 3+ years of dental office management experience
- Experience managing a dental team
- Experience with dental insurance, claims, and collections
- Experience with treatment coordination and case acceptance
- Experience monitoring production and collection goals
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Compensation Package
