Front Office Coordinator
Location: Huntington Beach (Close to 5 Points Shopping Center off Beach and Main)
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive Pay, based on Experience ($29-$38) plus Benefits

Our busy and growing Periodontal and Dental Implant Specialty Practice is a patient-focused Periodontal practice committed to providing exceptional care in a welcoming, team-oriented environment. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Front Office Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced setting is energetic with a positive attitude and can multi-task. This role is essential to the daily success of our practice, serving as the bridge between patient care, administrative operations, and clinical support.
Position Summary
The Front Office Coordinator oversees the day-to-day administrative operations of the practice while ensuring an outstanding patient experience. This position requires strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, along with a willingness to assist both front and back office teams when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Office Management
- Enter and maintain accurate new patient information.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Manage office email and daily administrative tasks.
Patient Care Coordination
- Welcome and check patients in and out.
- Take new patient calls and coordinate scheduling.
- Complete treatment planning with patients.
- Ensure schedules remain productive and filled.
Insurance & Financial Management
- Coordinate with our billing team/partner on insurance claims and accounts receivable.
- Submit and manage insurance claims.
- Process prior authorizations.
- Post insurance and patient payments.
- Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and collections.
- Generate aging reports.
- Prepare and send patient statements.
- Perform end of day and end-of-month financial closing procedures.
Clinical Support (if needed)
- Assist with room setup and breakdown.
- Seat patients and provide chairside assistance when needed.
- Perform periodontal charting.
- Take dental X-rays and CBCT/CT scans.
Qualifications
- Previous dental office experience required.
- Knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and treatment planning.
- Experience with insurance claims, accounts receivable, and collections.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.
- X-ray certification is preferred. Previous Back Office Experience a Plus.
- Experience with Dentrix practice management software.
