Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to provide short-term support during a medical leave. This role offers an engaging opportunity to work alongside a skilled dentist performing high-level dentistry procedures, including large crown and bridge cases, dental implants, oral surgery with IV sedation, and more. The ideal candidate will have prior dental clinic experience and be comfortable working in a busy, well-established practice with a friendly team and loyal patients. This position is scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 8 hours per day, through the end of the year. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of complex dental procedures such as crowns, bridges, implants, and oral surgeries involving IV sedation Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe and efficient workflow Provide chairside support by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures Manage patient records accurately and update charts as needed Educate patients on post-treatment care and answer basic questions about procedures Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with safety protocols Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations Support administrative tasks as required to facilitate patient flow and clinic efficiency Skills Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to high-level dentistry procedures Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization techniques Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with dentrix dental software for record keeping is preferred Flexibility to work scheduled days consistently and adapt to the needs of the practice Team-oriented attitude with good organizational skills and professionalism Work Location: In person
