Dynamic dental team seeking motivated Dental Assistant in Glendale, CA

Saryan Dental has served the Glendale community since 1993. We're a family-run general practice with an in-house oral surgeon, a loyal multi-generational patient base, and a team that actually likes coming to work. A large share of our patients are Armenian-speaking, and we're looking for an assistant who can care for them in their own language.

What You'll Do

• Chairside assisting for general dentistry and oral surgery procedures
• Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos; pour and trim models
• Set up and break down operatories; sterilize and maintain instruments per CDC and Cal/OSHA guidelines
• Prepare and update patient charts in our practice management software
• Communicate with Armenian-speaking patients — explaining procedures, post-op instructions, and answering questions
• Assist the front desk with scheduling and patient follow-up as needed
• Monitor supply inventory and help keep the office running smoothly

Requirements

• Fluency in Armenian (spoken) and English — required. A significant portion of our patient population speaks Armenian as a primary language, and this role involves communicating treatment and post-operative instructions directly to those patients.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on dental assisting experience in a clinical setting
• Current California RDA license, or DA with current Radiation Safety and Infection Control certifications and eligibility to test for RDA
• Familiarity with digital radiography and dental practice management software
• Professional, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced office

Nice to Have

• Oral surgery assisting experience
• Coronal polishing and/or sealant certification
• Experience with dental insurance verification
• Additional language skills (Spanish, Russian, Farsi)
