Clove Dental is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Northridge team. This role focuses on preventive and periodontal care, patient education, and continuity of care.

Hygienist – Registered Dental Hygienist
Pay Range: $65–$70/hour
Minimum Requirement: Active California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license

Production Benchmark: Average Daily Production of approximately $1,500–$2,500/day

Promotion Benchmark: Sustained Average Daily Production of $2,500+/day over the prior 6 months, together with demonstrated clinical competency, periodontal care, quality, productivity, reappointment, patient retention, documentation, mentorship, and adherence to Company standards.

Includes all Hygienist I responsibilities and competencies. Hygienist II is expected to independently manage a broader range of preventive and periodontal needs while taking greater ownership of patient retention, reappointment, periodontal treatment completion, and clinical efficiency.

  • Provide high-quality preventive and periodontal hygiene care within permitted scope and Company clinical standards.
  • Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, radiographs, periodontal charting, and other permitted hygiene procedures.
  • Complete thorough periodontal assessments and identify findings requiring dentist evaluation or additional treatment.
  • Educate patients on oral health, periodontal disease, home care, recommended preventive and periodontal treatment, and appropriate continuing-care intervals.
  • Partner with the dentist to support comprehensive diagnosis, treatment planning, and continuity of care while maintaining appropriate clinical judgment.
  • Review patient charts, medical histories, radiographs, periodontal findings, and outstanding treatment needs.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete periodontal charting, clinical notes, and required documentation in Open Dental.
  • Maintain efficient appointment flow, room turnover, sterilization, and operatory readiness.
  • Maintain all required licenses, certifications, HIPAA, infection-control, attendance, and Company clinical standards.

Additional Hygienist II Responsibilities

  •  Independently provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal hygiene care across a broader range of patient needs.
  •  Consistently identify periodontal findings and provide clinically appropriate hygiene recommendations while partnering with the dentist on comprehensive patient care.
  •  Take greater ownership of hygiene reappointment, patient retention, and periodontal treatment completion through effective patient education and follow-up.
  •  Review charts, radiographs, periodontal findings, and outstanding treatment to proactively identify patient-care opportunities and gaps in care.
  •  Maintain strong hygiene productivity through appropriate periodontal care, efficient scheduling, treatment completion, and effective patient flow without compromising clinical quality.
  •  Demonstrate consistent periodontal charting, documentation, diagnosis support, and appropriate continuing-care recommendations.
  •  Mentor Hygienist I and clinical team members on hygiene workflows, periodontal protocols, patient education, clinical efficiency, and Company standards.
