Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Grand Rapids, MI

Dental Front Desk / Dental Assistant Thornapple Dental Care | Grand Rapids, MI Are you someone who can greet a patient with a smile, keep a schedule moving, answer the phoneâand jump into the back to help when the team needs an extra set of hands? You might be exactly who weâre looking for. Thornapple Dental Care is a small, privately owned dental practice that believes dentistry should be ethical, personal, and centered around doing what is right for the patient. We are not corporate office, and we don't want to feel like one! Our doctor is passionate about providing high-quality, ethical dentistry and is committed to continuing education and constantly improving the care we provide. We are looking for someone who shares those values and wants to be part of a practice where their contribution genuinely matters. The Position This is a hybrid Front Desk / Dental Assistant positionâperfect for someone who enjoys variety and doesn't want to spend every day doing exactly the same thing. Your primary responsibilities will be at the front desk, including: * Welcoming patients and creating a great first impression * Answering phones and communicating with patients * Scheduling and managing the patient schedule * Reviewing treatment plans and helping patients understand their next steps * Collecting payments and assisting with day-to-day front office responsibilities * Keeping the schedule organized and helping the office run smoothly But we're a small team, so we're looking for someone who isn't afraid to jump in and help clinically when needed. Dental assisting experience is important, and you should be comfortable helping turn over rooms, assisting the doctor, sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays if qualified, and supporting the clinical team when things get busy. Who Will Thrive Here We're looking for someone who is: Dependable. Our team and our patients need to be able to count on you. A multitasker. You can answer the phone, check out a patient, keep an eye on the schedule, and still know what's happening around you. A team player. There is no "that's not my job" mentality in a small practice. We all help each other. Warm and professional. We want our patients to feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. Ethical and honest. This is extremely important to us. We believe in recommending the dentistry patients need and treating people the way we would want our own families treated. Interested in growing. Our doctor is passionate about continuing education, and we want team members who enjoy learning and becoming better at what they do. What We Offer We believe that when you take care of your team, they take better care of your patients. Benefits include: * 401(k) * Paid holidays * Paid vacation * Health insurance stipend, if needed * Consistent schedule in a privately owned practice * A small-team environment where your voice matters * Opportunities to learn and grow alongside a doctor committed to continuing education * No corporate quotas or high-pressure dentistry We're looking for someone who wants more than just another dental job. We want someone who is looking for a practice they can take pride in, grow with, and call home. If you're organized, personable, comfortable wearing more than one hat, and believe that great dentistry starts with treating people well, we'd love to meet you. Apply with your resume and a short note telling us a little about yourself and why you think you'd be a great fit for our team. Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 â 32.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
