Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant, who is also bilingual in Spanish, to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and aseptic techniques to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and comfort, fostering effective communication with our diverse patient population. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Perform dental radiography and manage medical imaging equipment, including 3D scanners, to capture accurate images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including acting as a Dental Receptionist when required. Ensure that all dental instruments are sterilized and maintained according to aseptic techniques. Support pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and assisting with their specific needs. Experience Previous experience in a dental clinic or as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential for effective communication within the clinical environment. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, as well as proficiency in using dental systems and equipment such as 3D scanners. A strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are critical for success in this role.
