Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Frisco, TX

We are a fun, growing pediatric dental practice looking for a friendly, dependable, highly organized Front Office / Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. Our front desk is the first and last impression families have of our office, so we are looking for someone who is warm and welcoming but also extremely detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive. Responsibilities include: Answering phone calls professionally and warmly Scheduling and confirming patient appointments Communicating clearly with parents by phone, text, and email Verifying dental insurance benefits and eligibility Reviewing patient accounts and estimated patient portions Submitting and following up on insurance claims Maintaining accurate documentation of conversations and follow-up items Communicating with referring dental and medical offices Following office scheduling and new-patient protocols Helping families schedule recommended treatment Reviewing treatment plans, financial estimates, and payment options with families as needed Following up on unscheduled treatment and outstanding patient needs Assisting with other front-office responsibilities as needed Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year of dental front-office experience preferred Pediatric dental experience is a plus Experience with Curve Dental strongly preferred Knowledge of dental insurance verification, benefits, claims, fee schedules, and treatment estimates Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication Professional and confident phone skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and follow-through skills Ability to take thorough notes and accurately relay complete messages Ability to manage multiple responsibilities without letting important tasks fall through the cracks Comfortable asking questions when unsure rather than making assumptions Friendly, patient, and comfortable communicating with children and parents Comfortable discussing treatment recommendations and financial estimates with families Dental assisting experience or cross-training is a plus Willingness to help clinically when needed is highly valued The person who will thrive in this role: You donât just check something off a listâyou make sure it is actually completed correctly.
