Hygiene Assistant - New Kent Family Dentistry - Quinton, VA

HYGIENE ASSISTANT POSITION: Join our patient-centered dental practice and grow your career in a supportive, modern environment. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Hygiene Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and enjoys working with patients while supporting our dental hygienists and keeping the hygiene department running smoothly. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the dental hygienist with patient care and treatment preparation Prepare and set up treatment rooms before and between patients Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment Take and document dental X-rays as permitted by training and state regulations Assist with patient seating, chart updates, and room turnover Provide patients with a welcoming and comfortable experience Maintain proper infection-control and OSHA standards Keep hygiene rooms clean, organized, and properly stocked Assist with scheduling and other clinical tasks as needed Work closely with the hygienist, dentist, and dental team QUALIFICATIONS: Previous dental or healthcare experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate Dental assisting or hygiene experience is a plus Strong communication and customer-service skills Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Ability to work well as part of a team Professional and positive attitude Commitment to patient care and infection-control standards What We Offer: Competitive pay & benefits based on experience Supportive and friendly team environment Opportunities for training and professional growth Consistent schedule Opportunity to build a rewarding career in dentistry A collaborative, positive team culture SCHEDULE: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 2pm.
