Benefits: Bonus based on performance 401(k) Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off About the Role: Our office is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing dental team in San Diego, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced orthodontist in a patient-focused practice where your skills and passion for dental care truly make a difference. We have two office locations in Rancho Bernardo and University City, we split our days two days per week in each office- must be willing to travel. Responsibilities: Assist the orthodontist chairside during patient procedures including bonding, banding, and wire adjustments Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions/digital scans Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and orthodontic treatment progress Update and maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Assist with fabrication and delivery of retainers and other orthodontic appliances Requirements: Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience strongly preferred Orthdontic Assistant certification (OA), Dental Assistant certification (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license (California preferred) Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology, and equipment Radiation Safety certification or willingness to obtain Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-centered chairside manner Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Proficiency with dental practice management software is a plus About Us: Our office is a trusted orthodontic practice serving the San Diego community with a commitment to exceptional, personalized care for patients of all ages.
