Orthodontic Assistant (DA/RDA) Location: Albany, CA Schedule: Full-time or Part-time Pay: $21â$34 per hour, based on experience and credentials Additional locations: Coverage may be needed in Tiburon and Novato Do you love helping people feel comfortable, cared for, and confident? Weâre looking for a friendly Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing orthodontic team. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role for someone who enjoys a fast-moving day, takes pride in details, and wants to make every patientâs smile journey feel positive and personal. What Youâll Do Assist the orthodontist during patient visits and orthodontic procedures within your permitted scope of practice. Prepare rooms, instruments, supplies, and equipment so appointments run smoothly and on time. Take digital X-rays, photographs, impressions/records, and intraoral scans as permitted by certification and California regulations. Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, braces and appliance care, elastics, retainers, and post-appointment instructions. Help patients feel relaxed, informed, and encouraged throughout their treatment. Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and follow sterilization, infection-control, HIPAA, and safety protocols. Enter accurate clinical notes and support a seamless patient experience from start to finish. Collaborate closely with doctors and teammates to keep the clinical schedule moving efficiently. Provide occasional clinical coverage at our Tiburon and Novato locations when needed. You May Be a Great Fit If You Are A DA or RDA with current California-required credentials appropriate to your role. Experienced in orthodontics or excited to learn and grow in orthodontics. Friendly, optimistic, and naturally good with people. Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment. A strong communicator who enjoys educating and encouraging patients and parents. Comfortable using digital X-rays, scanners, and practice softwareâor eager to learn. A team player who notices what needs to be done and jumps in to help. Reliable with transportation and available for occasional coverage at nearby offices.
