we are new, modern private dental practice in Palo Alto, CA, and we are looking for a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing team.
This is an opportunity to join our practice at the beginning and help build a positive, efficient, and patient-centered dental experience.
Compensation
$30–$36 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
• Assist the doctor during dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and set up instruments.
• Take dental X-rays and intraoral images as permitted.
• Assist with patient care and provide pre- and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain sterilization and infection-control protocols.
• Clean and prepare operatories between patients.
• Maintain dental instruments and supplies.
• Assist with laboratory cases and impressions/scans as needed.
• Keep operatories and clinical areas organized and well stocked.
• Provide excellent patient care and a welcoming experience.
• Follow OSHA, infection-control, and office protocols.
Qualifications
• Current California RDA license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization.
• Comfortable taking dental X-rays.
• Familiarity with digital dentistry and dental technology is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Team player who enjoys working in a new practice environment.
Schedule
• Approximately 3-4 days per week.
• Part-time initially, with potential for additional hours as the practice grows.
• Schedule to be discussed based on practice needs and candidate availability.
