Position Overview As a Dental Floater, you are the ultimate team player. You will adapt quickly to the changing rhythm of the clinic, moving smoothly between supporting dentists chairside, sterilizing instruments, and assisting with front-desk workflows during peak hours. Position is for Sunnyvale and San Jose location Sunnyvale location : Monday, Thursday and Friday 9-6 San Jose location : Tuesday and Wednesday 9-6 Key Responsibilities Clinical Support: Assist dentists and hygienists chairside during examinations and treatment procedures as needed. Turnover & Sterilization: Efficiently clean, sanitize, and prepare treatment rooms between patients; sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols. Patient Care: Greet patients, escort them to treatment areas, and ensure they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. Administrative Support: Help the front desk with patient check-ins, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, or pulling patient charts during busy periods. Inventory & Maintenance: Keep clinical supply areas stocked, organized, and report low inventory. Qualifications Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred; familiarity with dental assisting and sterilization procedures is highly valued. Proficiency with Dentrix Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and infection control protocols including aseptic technique. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members across multiple disciplines.
