Front Desk & Administrative Responsibilities Patient Services: Greet arriving visitors, manage patient check-in and check-out, and maintain a welcoming reception area. Communications: Answer multi-line phones, respond to inquiries, and confirm or reschedule appointments. Financials & Insurance: Verify dental insurance benefits (PPO), process claims, review financial arrangements, and collect copayments or balances. Records Management: Update patient medical histories, chart data, and files securely while ensuring strict HIPAA compliance. Dental Assisting & Clinical Responsibilities Chairside Support: Assist the dentist efficiently and confidently during various clinical treatments and procedures. Operatory Prep: Set up, clean, and break down exam rooms and operatories between patients. Radiographs & Scans: Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans, or impressions under the supervision of the dentist. Infection Control: Sterilize dental instruments and uphold safety and OSHA compliance protocols. Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certification or diploma preferred. Experience: Prior experience in a dental front office and clinical chairside assisting is preferred; experience in the medical field is accepted. Skills: Proficient in dental practice management software, strong multitasking abilities, and clear communication. Bilingual: Fluency in English and Spanish is frequently preferred in many regions.
