Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Chicago, IL

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Lead Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a well-established, family-owned dental practice focused on providing exceptional dentistry in a welcoming and caring environment. As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and take an important leadership role within our clinical team. This is more than a chairside assisting position. Our Lead Dental Assistant will work closely with our doctors while helping oversee the organization, efficiency, and day-to-day operations of the clinical department. Responsibilities Lead, support, and help train our dental assisting team Provide experienced and efficient chairside assistance Anticipate doctors' needs and help maintain smooth patient flow Ensure operatories are properly prepared, stocked, and organized Oversee sterilization and infection-control protocols Manage clinical inventory, supplies, and ordering Coordinate lab cases and equipment maintenance Help establish and maintain consistent clinical systems and protocols Identify opportunities to improve organization and efficiency Promote accountability, teamwork, and exceptional patient care Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Has 3â5+ years of dental assisting experience Has strong chairside and clinical skills Has previous leadership experience or is ready to step into a leadership role Is organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Takes initiative and sees what needs to be done Can confidently and respectfully lead a team Communicates well with doctors, team members, and patients Remains calm and solution-oriented in a busy environment Takes pride in creating an organized and efficient clinical department Is looking for a long-term position and an opportunity to grow Experience with Eaglesoft, digital scanning, implants, oral surgery, crown and bridge, cosmetic dentistry, and Invisalign is a plus.
