Experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator Bull City Smiles | Durham, NC 27704 | Full-Time | Monday–Friday Are You Ready to Take the Lead in Your Dental Career? Are you an experienced dental professional who knows how to turn treatment plans into confident patient decisions, keep a busy schedule moving, and create an exceptional patient experience? Are you organized, proactive, and ready to take ownership of your role as an essential part of a dental team? Bull City Smiles is looking for an experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator who brings confidence, initiative, professionalism, and a genuine passion for patient care. We are seeking someone who understands that successful treatment coordination goes far beyond presenting treatment plans. It requires building trust, navigating insurance and financial conversations, identifying opportunities to get patients scheduled, and taking initiative to keep the front office running efficiently. If you are a knowledgeable dental professional who thrives on responsibility, takes pride in doing things well, and wants to be part of a supportive team with high standards, we would love to meet you! Your Role: Take Ownership. Build Trust. Make an Impact. As our Dental Treatment Coordinator, you will play a key role in helping patients understand their dental needs, move forward with recommended treatment, and enjoy a smooth, positive experience at Bull City Smiles. Patient Relationships & Treatment Coordination Build genuine relationships with patients and create a welcoming, professional experience from the first interaction. Confidently present doctor-recommended treatment plans, explain procedures and benefits, answer questions, and help patients make informed decisions about their care. Use strong communication and relationship-building skills to encourage treatment acceptance without making patients feel pressured. Follow up with patients who have outstanding treatment and help them take the next step toward achieving their dental goals. Insurance & Financial Coordination Review dental insurance benefits and help patients understand estimated coverage, limitations, and out-of-pocket expenses. Confidently discuss financial arrangements and treatment costs with professionalism, clarity, and compassion. Help patients understand their options while setting appropriate expectations regarding insurance and payment responsibilities. Schedule Management & Front Office Efficiency Take ownership of maintaining a productive, well-managed schedule and identifying opportunities to fill openings. Coordinate treatment appointments efficiently while balancing patient needs, provider schedules, and practice priorities. Stay ahead of daily responsibilities rather than waiting to be directed on every task. Maintain accurate patient information, complete administrative responsibilities, and help ensure the front office operates smoothly. Teamwork, Communication & Accountability Communicate proactively with providers and team members to support continuity of care and efficient daily operations. Take responsibility for assigned duties, follow through on commitments, and address challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset. Work collaboratively with the team while demonstrating the independence and initiative expected of an experienced professional. Contribute to a positive workplace culture through reliability, professionalism, flexibility, and a willingness to support shared goals. Who Will Thrive in This Role? We are looking for someone who brings experience, confidence, and a strong sense of ownership to the position. Our ideal candidate is: Experienced: Understands the flow of a dental office and can confidently manage treatment coordination responsibilities with minimal day-to-day direction. Patient-Focused: Enjoys educating patients, answering questions, and helping them move forward with recommended care. Confident with Financial Conversations: Comfortable presenting treatment costs, reviewing insurance estimates, and discussing financial arrangements. Highly Organized: Able to prioritize competing responsibilities, manage details, and keep tasks from falling through the cracks. Proactive & Accountable: Anticipates needs, takes initiative, follows through, and looks for solutions rather than waiting for someone else to step in. A Strong Communicator: Professional, personable, approachable, and capable of communicating effectively with patients and coworkers. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning and using dental practice management software and digital communication tools. A Team Player: Values collaboration, supports coworkers, accepts feedback, and contributes to a respectful, productive work environment. Looking for the Long Term: Wants to grow professionally, build meaningful relationships, and become a dependable, valued member of our team. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of dental experience required. Previous dental treatment coordination experience strongly preferred. Experience with Eaglesoft and RevenueWell is a plus. Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dental environment. Why Bull City Smiles?
