Traveling Sedation Dental Assistant Dental Sedation Centers Schedule: Monday â Thursday | 6:45 AM â 5:00 PM Locations: Plant City, New Port Richey & Seminole, FL Pay: Based on Experience Travel Allowance: Fixed Travel Allowance Provided Dental Sedation Centers is seeking a dependable, experienced, and patient-focused Traveling Sedation Dental Assistant to join our growing clinical team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced sedation dentists while delivering exceptional patient care across our Plant City, New Port Richey, and Seminole locations. IV sedation experience is preferred but not required! We welcome experienced Dental Assistants with strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient safety, and a desire to expand their expertise. We will consider qualified candidates who demonstrate the ability and willingness to complete the necessary training to assist with IV sedation procedures. What We Offer Fulltime position with a fourday workweek (MondayThursday). Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures involving IV sedation, oral sedation, and nitrous oxide, as applicable. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for sedation procedures. Assist with patient preparation, comfort, and recovery. Obtain and document patient vital signs within authorized responsibilities and training. Assist dentists and qualified clinical personnel with patient monitoring before, during, and after sedation. Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition or signs of distress. Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are available and ready for use. Maintain accurate patient records and sedationrelated documentation. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and patient safety requirements. Provide compassionate care and communicate effectively with patients and clinical team members. Travel between the Plant City, New Port Richey, and Seminole offices based on assigned schedules. Qualifications Required Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant. Dental Assistant certification with Expanded Functions (EFDA). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers Strong chairside assisting skills and knowledge of dental procedures. Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control procedures. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in a fastpaced clinical environment. Experience with Dentrix Enterprise or similar dental software. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assigned office locations. Willingness to complete required sedationspecific training (company paid). Preferred Previous experience assisting with IV sedation procedures. Experience in oral surgery or complex dental procedures. Experience obtaining and documenting patient vital signs.
