Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Northbrook, IL

Help us create the kind of orthodontic experience people rave about. Bond Orthodontics is a modern, boutique orthodontic studio in Northbrook, and weâre looking for an incredible Clinical Specialist (Orthodontic Assistant) to join our growing team. Weâre not looking for someone who simply wants a job in orthodontics. Weâre looking for someone who wants to grow with a practice, learn something new every day, and become an important part of what weâre building. If youâre naturally warm, energetic, curious, dependable, and the kind of person who makes people feel comfortable the second they walk through the door, you might be exactly who weâre looking for! No orthodontic experience? Totally okay. We care more about your personality, work ethic, and willingness to learn than whatâs already on your resume. Weâll teach you the clinical skills through hands-on training and mentorship. WHAT MAKES BOND ORTHODONTICS DIFFERENT? Youâll actually be part of the build. Bond Orthodontics is a growing practice, which means your ideas, energy, and personality can genuinely shape our culture and patient experience. Youâll learn real clinical skills. Youâll receive hands-on training in orthodontic assisting, digital scanning, photography, X-rays, bonding, wires, appliances, and more. Youâll get to know your patients. We believe orthodontics should feel personal. Youâll play a big role in helping patients feel comfortable, cared for, and excited about their smile journey. Youâll have room to grow. We want to invest in people who want to build a career, not just clock in and clock out. As our studio grows, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and develop your skills. Youâll work somewhere that doesnât feel like a typical dental office. Our studio is modern, upbeat, welcoming, and designed around creating an experience patients actually enjoy. We work hard, support each other, laugh a lot, and genuinely care about what we do. WHAT YOU WILL DO As a Clinical Specialist, you'll work alongside Dr. Bond and our team to help deliver an exceptional clinical experience from start to finish. Your day may include: Assisting Dr. Bond with orthodontic procedures and adjustments Taking digital X-rays, photographs, and 3D scans Learning to place brackets, wires, and orthodontic attachments Assisting with aligner and appliance appointments Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment Educating patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene Helping patients feel comfortable, confident, and excited throughout treatment Sterilization and clinical equipment maintenance Anticipating what the doctor and team need to keep the day running smoothly Contributing ideas to improve our clinical systems and patient experience And yes, we'll teach you how to do these things!! WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Our vision of a perfect team member is someone who is: A PEOPLE PERSON. You genuinely enjoy interacting with others and naturally make people feel welcome. ENERGETIC & POSITIVE. You bring good energy into a room and don't need to be asked to bring a little personality to the day. CURIOUS & COACHABLE. Youâre excited to learn, aren't afraid to ask questions, and actually want to get better at what you do. A TEAM PLAYER. You notice when someone needs help. You jump in. You understand that a great day at the studio is a team effort. RELIABLE & ORGANIZED . You take ownership, follow through, and can be counted on. MOTIVATED TO GROW. Youâre not looking for a temporary stop. You want to develop skills, take on responsibility, and grow alongside a business. A GREAT COMMUNICATOR. You can connect with a nervous child, a teenager, a parent, and a coworkerâand make each of them feel heard. EXPERIENCE IS A BONUS. PERSONALITY IS EVERYTHING. We welcome candidates from orthodontics, dentistry, healthcare, hospitality, retail, customer service, and other people-focused backgrounds.
