Hygiene Assistant - Finger Lakes Dental Care - Canandaigua, NY

Finger Lakes Dental Care is looking for a Hygiene Assistant to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients, staying busy, and being part of a team that works together to keep the day running smoothly. As a Hygiene Assistant, you'll work closely with our hygienists and doctors to provide a welcoming patient experience, keep appointments moving efficiently, and make sure the hygiene rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for each patient. What You'll Do Welcome patients, bring them to the hygiene room, and help them feel comfortable throughout their visit Prepare operatories and make sure instruments and supplies are ready to go Assist hygienists with charting, documentation, and other clinical needs as directed Take dental X-rays when trained and authorized to do so Assist with patient histories and vital signs when qualified Help keep the hygiene schedule running smoothly and communicate with the team when there are delays or changes Clean, disinfect, and prepare operatories between patients Sterilize and maintain instruments according to infection control procedures Monitor supplies and let the team know when something needs to be restocked or replaced Help coordinate patients' next hygiene appointments Provide a friendly, professional experience for every patient What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with patients Organized and detail-oriented A strong communicator who works well with a team Able to stay organized and keep up in a busy clinical environment Comfortable learning new technology and dental software Reliable, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed Interested in learning and growing in a dental setting What We Offer Competitive pay with opportunities for performance-based incentives & profit sharing Comprehensive Insurance package Medical Insurance and HSA (if enrolled in high deductible plan) Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time off and paid holidays 401k with company match Opportunities for professional development and continuing education Access to state-of-the-art equipment and latest dental technology A supportive and growth-oriented work environment Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: 4-day work week One weekday off each week, rotating based on the needs of the office Office hours: Monday: 6:30 AM–2:00 PM Tuesday: 6:30 AM–4:00 PM Wednesday: 6:30 AM–4:00 PM Thursday: 6:30 AM–4:00 PM Friday: 6:30 AM–2:00 PM Important: The position is not Monday–Friday . The employee will work four of the five days each week, with the day off rotating.
