Permanent Dentist Job in Lakewood, CA
Job Overview We are looking for a temporary dentist for 11/05/2026 from 8am-4pm. As a Locum Tenens Dentist, youâll provide temporary dental coverage and deliver attentive care across a range of patient needs. Youâll assess patients, diagnose dental conditions, explain treatment options, and document care accurately. Your impact: Clear diagnoses and coordinated treatment help patients understand their options and receive appropriate dental care. Responsibilities Provide general dentistry, including patient assessment and dental diagnosis. Perform composite restorations, simple dental extractions, and other procedures within your training and applicable scope Provide referrals to specialists where appropriate/necessary. Use medical imaging and maintain accurate medical records and medical documentation Apply aseptic technique, infection control, HIPAA requirements, and state healthcare regulations; communicate clearly with patients and care teams Qualifications Required: Appropriate dental license for the practice location and ability to meet applicable state requirements Knowledge of anatomy, healthcare diagnosis, dental terminology, and medical terminology Experience with patient care, client communication, four-handed dentistry, and dental office or dental clinic setting. Experience with electronic health records is preferred. Pay: $120.00 per hour Expected hours: 7.0 per week Work Location: In person
