Dental Sterile Technician Responsibilities
- Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Prepare and organize instruments for dental procedures, ensuring proper setup and availability.
- Monitor and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination in the dental operatory.
- Inventory and restock sterile supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for daily operations.
- Document sterilization processes, including load records, biological spore tests, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding dental instrument sterilization.
- Report any malfunctions or issues with sterilization equipment to the appropriate personnel for repair.
- Maintain a clean and organized sterilization area to support efficient workflow.
