Dental Assistant – Chairside Assisting, Sterilization & Room Turnover Location: Thomasville, GA Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Thursday Pay: $20+ per hour, depending on experience About the Practice We’re a growing private dental practice in Thomasville, GA focused on the highest quality patient care. We perform a wide range of procedures including cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, dental implants, oral surgery, and endodontics. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant whose primary strengths are strong chairside support, clinical skills and the tasks related to efficient sterilization and room set up and breakdown. If you enjoy being in the operatories, keeping things moving smoothly, and helping patients feel comfortable during a variety of procedures, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities Primary focus areas: Chairside assisting during cosmetic, restorative, implant, oral surgery, and endodontic procedures (four-handed dentistry, suction, retraction, passing instruments/materials, keeping the field clear). Sterilization of instruments and equipment according to strict infection-control protocols (ultrasonic, autoclave, proper packaging and storage). Room set up and breakdown- quick, thorough operatory turnover between patients so the doctor can stay on schedule. Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and keep treatment rooms stocked. Follow OSHA, CDC, and office infection-control standards at all times. Additional duties as needed: Support with digital impressions or other clinical tasks within your training/scope Communicate clearly with patients and the rest of the team Help maintain a clean, organized clinical area Qualifications High school diploma or GED Prior dental assisting experience preferred (especially chairside, sterilization, and room turnover) Comfortable assisting with a variety of procedures (implants, oral surgery, endo, restorative, cosmetic) Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Current BLS/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Radiography certification or willingness to complete Georgia Board-approved training is a plus Experience with common dental software is helpful but not required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Supportive team environment in a busy but well-organized practice Opportunity to assist with a wide range of interesting procedures Potential for growth and expanded-duty training 401k, PTO, continuing education opportunities How to Apply Ready to join a practice that values efficient, high-quality clinical support?
