Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Davison, MI
Under new ownership, Irish Road Dental looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. We strive to provide a fun, relaxed and positive work environment for all of our employees. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in chairside assisting, sterilization, and other dental procedures. The successful candidate will also be able to assist the dentist with patient education, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and ensure that all patient records are up to date. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has excellent communication skills Our office is open Tuesday-Friday Monday 9-5pm Tuesday: Closed Wednesday: 9-5pm Thursday: 9-5pm Friday: 9-3pm Responsibilities: Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene. Maintain patient records and charts. Take dental x-rays. Provide chair-side assistance to the dentist. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow. Perform administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and ordering supplies. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments- Take dental x-rays- Intra Oral Scans- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform patient assessments and record medical histories- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic medical record systems (such a Open Dental), Fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions, doing digital scans. Compensation is based on experience. Full and Part time position avaliable.
